PC World sold me a £500 laptop and never told me that some of the software was 'temporary' and would expire.
Eg, the webcam software, and it is going to cost me £29.48 to buy the software, or I can't use the webcam. SO ANGRY!!!! I'm going to fight them on this, because.... what a FUCKING CON!!!! And also, what else is going to expire?????
You wouldn't buy a car and expect the brakes to 'expire'? Or a toaster and expect the elements to 'expire'?
It's not the point, but the software it "needs" costs £29.48.... that's alot of money for a student nurse! And why the hell should I??!!
What else is 'hidden', waiting to fucking expire?? Will I be typing an essay and Word 'expires'?
I phoned them this morning and they said "Ah but it IS legal if the salesperson told you the software was temporary".............. WRONG!!!!!
Also, I was going to let it pass, but when I bought it, the salesperson signed me up to £8.46 a month of "Whatever Happens Cover" WITHOUT TELLING ME!
This is ALSO fucking illegal.
I had to phone up and cancel that. Here's why I don't fucking need that shit: 1) I can fix my own damn computer if it goes wrong, jesus, I'm a geek for godssake. 2) If it is actually damaged, then it is... COVERED BY MY HOME CONTENTS INSURANCE.
GOING UP TO PC WORLD NOW TO MAKE A SCENE.
SEE YOU IN HELL FUCKERS! YOU PICKED THE WRONG DUDE THIS TIME.
